To pieszo-rowerowe połączenie Kazimierza z Podgórzem powstało w miejscu dawnego Mostu Podgórskiego wg projektu Autorskiej Pracowni Projektowo-Plastycznej prof. Andrzeja Gettera w 2010 roku. 

This pedestrian and biking link between Kazimierz and Podgórze was designed in the workshop of prof. Andrzej Getter in 2010 on the place of Podgórski Bridge.

Kim był ten tajemniczy Bernatek???

Ojciec Laetus Bernatek należał do kazimierskiego Zakonu Bonifratrów, znajdującego się w sąsiedztwie dzisiejszej kładki. To on zainicjował budowę nowoczesnego gmachu szpitalnego, którym do dziś opiekują się Bonifratrzy. Zasłużył więc na to, by właśnie jego imieniem nazwano nowy most.

Who actually was this mysterious Bernatek???

Father Lateus Bernatek was a member of the order of Fatebenefratelli in Kazimierz just in the neighbourhood of the bridge. He was the initiator of the construction of the modern hospital, that the order has always taken care of. He well deserved this small commemoration.

Tak jak we Florencji, Rzymie, Paryżu i innych europejskich miastach, tak i tutaj zakochani przypinają swoje kłódki, w dowód dozgonnej miłości wyrzucając kluczyki do Wisły. Jest to więc nasz most miłości i miejmy nadzieję, że przynosi zakochanym dużo szczęścia.

Just as in Florence, Rome, Paris and other european cities, the lovers come here to lock their lockets and as a proof of their eternal love, they throw the keys away into the river. Hopefully the bridge brings luck to them, as this is our love bridge.
