Pogoda w Krakowie sprzyjała dziś rowerzystom. Również i ja nie mogłam oprzeć się promieniom słońca i przesiadłam się z tramwaju na rower.

Mam chyba najpiękniejszą (chociaż jednocześnie najbardziej popularną) trasę do pracy. Z Nowej Huty dojeżdżam do Ronda Grzegórzeckiego, a potem już nad Wisłę, tam, gdzie zaczynają się cudowne widoki.
My route to work is the most beautiful (but at the same time the most popular). From Nowa Huta to Grzegórzeckie Roundabout, and then straight to Wisła river, where the wonderful views begin.
Bulwary Wiślane, tu na wysokości Kazimierza. Utworzone na początku XX wieku, są wciąż bardzo popularne wśród rowerzystów, rolkarzy, spacerowiczów i fanów nauki na świeżym powietrzu.
The Vistula Boulvards, on the photo near Kazimierz district. Created at the beginnig of 20 c., they are still amazingly popular among the cyclists, skaters, walkers and the fans of learning on the fresh air.
Widok na pieszo-rowerową Kładkę Bernatka, łączącą Kazimierz z Podgórzem. Została zbudowana w miejscu dawnego Mostu Podgórskiego, a otwarcie odbyło się 30 września 2010. Kładce nadano imię ojca Laetusa Bernatka, zakonnika pobliskiego Zakonu Bonifratrów, inicjatora budowy gmachu Szpitala Bonifratrów.
A view on pedestrian-cycling bridge, connecting Kazimierz and Podgórze. It was built on the place of Podgórski Bridge and the opening took place on Septemebr 30, 2010. the bridge was given the name of father Laetus Bernatek, the monk of nearby monastery of Fatebenefratelli., the initiator of the construction of the monastery's hospital.

Zbliżając się do Wawelu, jeszcze przed Mostem Grunwaldzkim mijamy Kościół na Skałce. Choć dziś oglądamy go w barokowej odsłonie, na tym miejscu stała już świątynia romańska. Z tym kościołem związana jest również legenda św. Stanisława.
Getting closer to Wawel, still befor the Grunwaldzki bridge, we pass the Church on the Rock. Although today we see it in its baroque version, here on this place stood the romanesque temple. With this church is also connectes the legend of st. Stanislaus.
Wreszcie Wawel w pełnym słońcu. W ten sposób lubię go oglądać.

Za Mostem Dębnickim przywitał mnie widok na Klasztor Norbertanek i wspominany już tu kiedyś Kopiec Kościuszki. Klasztor Norbertanek powstał w 2 poł. XII w., kiedy Jaksa Gryfita, po powrocie z wyprawy krzyżowej, ofiarował te ziemie siostrom zakonnym. Norbertanki zostały właścicielkami ogromnych terenów Zwierzyńca, co Kraków odczuwa po dziś dzień. Tuż przed Klasztorem wpływa do Wisły Rudawa.
After the Dębnicki Bridge I was welcomed by the view of the Monastery of the Norbertines and Kościuszki Mound. That monastery was created in the second half of 12 c., when Jaxa Griffita, after coming back from the crusade, offered those land to the nuns. The Norbertines became the owners of Zwierzyniec village and Cracow can still feel the results of this. Just before the monastery Rudawa river flows into Wisła.
Obok Klasztoru rozciąga się widok na Salwator, piękne osiedle domów jednorodzinnych, zaprojektowane na początku ubiegłego stulecia. Warto odwiedzić tamtejszy kościół Najświętszego Salwatora z XII w. i tzw. Gontynę - XVII w. drewnianą kaplicę pw. św. Małgorzaty.
Near the monastery we see a beautiful Salwator - the housing estate designed in the beginning of the last century. It's worth visiting the church of st. Salwator from 12 c. and Gontyna - the wooden chapel from 17 c.
Po "mojej" stronie Wisły mijam również zabudowania należące do Salezjanów - na zdjęciu kościół NMP Wspomożycielki Wiernych, konsekrowany w 1947 r. przez kard. Adama Sapiehę. Poniżej zdjęcie z budowy kościoła, krótko po rozpoczęciu prac w 1936 r.
On "my" side of the river I pass also near the building belonging to the Salesian Society - on the photo the church of st. Mary Helping the Believers, consecrated in 1947 by cardinal Adam Sapieha. Below the photo from the time of its construction, shortly after start of the works in 1936.

Chciałam pomknąć rowerem dalej tą trasą, aż Tyńca, ale obowiązki wzywały. Na szczęście Opactwo Benedyktynów w Tyńcu przetrwało już niejedną dziejową zawieruchę i wiem, że kiedykolwiek uda mi się tam dotrzeć, będę mogła znów je podziwiać :).
I really wanted to follow this route till the end in Tyniec, but my duties called me. Fortunately, the Benedictines Monastery in Tyniec survived so many twists and turns of history, that I can be sure that wenever I manage to get there, I would be able to admire it again :).
